Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Nursing Recruiter to join our team in Aransas Pass, TX. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead our international nursing recruitment program, specifically targeting Canadian Registered Nurses (RN) and Mexican Registered Nurses (RN) for TN visa sponsorship opportunities in the United States. This isn't your typical recruitment position. You'll be pioneering our international nursing recruitment division, working with candidates from Canada and Mexico who are seeking career opportunities in the U.S. healthcare system. You'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle while navigating TN visa sponsorship processes, building relationships across borders, and making a real impact on both healthcare facilities and nursing professionals' careers.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Source, screen, interview, and place registered nurses in healthcare facilities across the United States
International Sourcing: Develop and execute recruitment strategies targeting Canadian and Mexican RN markets
TN Visa Coordination: Guide candidates through TN visa sponsorship processes and requirements; collaborate with immigration specialists and legal team
Candidate Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified international nursing candidates
Market Research: Identify target markets in major Canadian cities (Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary) and Mexican markets for RN recruitment
Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with candidates, maintaining communication throughout the recruitment and placement process
Client Partnership: Work closely with U.S. healthcare facilities to understand staffing needs and match qualified international candidates
ATS Management: Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems; generate recruitment reports and analytics
Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with U.S. immigration regulations, nursing licensure requirements, and healthcare staffing standards
Offer Negotiation: Facilitate salary negotiations and benefits discussions between candidates and employers
Marketing & Outreach: Create and manage job postings, recruitment campaigns, and outreach efforts targeting international nursing communities
Required Qualifications
Healthcare Recruitment Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in nursing or healthcare recruitment (travel nursing, permanent placement, or RPO)
Nursing Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of nursing specialties, licensure requirements, and healthcare staffing needs
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Proven track record managing the entire recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement
Candidate Sourcing Skills: Experience with multiple sourcing platforms, social media recruiting, and creative talent acquisition strategies
ATS Proficiency: Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build rapport with diverse candidates and clients
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for developing long-term professional relationships
Results-Driven: Demonstrated ability to meet recruitment metrics and performance goals
Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with attention to compliance and documentation requirements
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with recruitment technology, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international recruitment or visa sponsorship programs (H-1B, TN, or other work visas)
Knowledge of TN visa requirements for healthcare professionals
Understanding of Canadian or Mexican healthcare systems and nursing credentials
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus
Experience recruiting for specific nursing specialties: ICU, ER, Med-Surg, Telemetry, L&D, OR
Familiarity with NCLEX requirements and nursing licensure processes
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Experience with high-volume recruitment in remote or distributed teams
