Position Overview

The Maintenance Specialist V (Instrumentation & Control Specialist) provides expert-level support for instrumentation and control systems across LNG operations, with a strong focus on measurement, system reliability, and safe execution. This role serves as a technical authority, leading complex troubleshooting efforts, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting long-term reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

The I&C Specialist works closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to minimize downtime, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain the integrity of critical instrumentation and control systems at the Golden Pass LNG facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide expert troubleshooting and diagnostics for instrumentation and control systems

• Coordinate execution of maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability

• Serve as a technical authority for control systems architecture and field instrumentation

• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and site procedures

• Maintain accurate equipment history, repair records, and inspection documentation

• Support procurement and inventory management for instrumentation and maintenance materials

• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and process improvements

• Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical training to maintenance personnel

• Support continuous improvement and long-term reliability initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or relevant technical discipline preferred (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant instrumentation and control experience

• Advanced knowledge of control systems architecture and field instrumentation

• Strong experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of I&C systems

• Experience interfacing with and managing contractors

• Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams
