Position Overview

The Process Engineering Advisor II (Process Safety Advisor) serves as a champion for process safety excellence across LNG operations. This role is responsible for embedding a strong process safety culture through leadership engagement, targeted training, structured risk assessments, and technical expertise.

The advisor acts as a trusted technical authority and communicator, supporting operational teams while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and corporate safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and promote process safety excellence across site operations

• Perform structured risk assessments including HAZOPs and process safety studies

• Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process safety programs

• Deliver process safety training and coaching to operations and engineering personnel

• Engage directly with field teams to reinforce safe operating practices

• Support consequence modeling and risk analysis activities

• Ensure compliance with applicable petrochemical and LNG regulatory requirements

• Provide technical guidance on risk management and process safety matters

• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels to influence safety culture

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Process Safety Engineering (or equivalent)

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in process safety

• Strong knowledge of petrochemical and LNG industry regulatory requirements

• Experience performing HAZOPs and formal process safety studies

• Preferred experience with consequence modeling tools (e.g., PHAST)

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
