Experienced Structural Fitter - Ingleside, TX

About the Position

Tarpon Specialty Services is seeking experienced Structural Fitters for a long-term industrial project in Ingleside, TX, just minutes from Corpus Christi. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled fitters looking for stable, long-term work with a growing specialty services company.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit and align structural steel components according to specifications and blueprints

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

• Perform cutting operations using oxy-fuel torch equipment

• Measure, mark, and layout work pieces for fabrication and assembly

• Position and secure structural components for welding operations

• Use hand and power tools to prepare materials for fitting and assembly

• Verify dimensions and alignment using measuring instruments

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures on the job site

• Work collaboratively with welders, supervisors, and project teams

• Maintain quality standards throughout fitting operations

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural fitting experience

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

• Proficient in cutting with oxy-fuel torch

• Experience in industrial or commercial construction settings

• Knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques

• Valid photo ID and ability to pass background check

• Reliable transportation to Ingleside job site

• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to use measuring tools and equipment accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in petrochemical, energy, or industrial construction projects

• OSHA safety training or certifications

• Experience working on fabrication or module construction projects

• Familiarity with rigging and material handling equipment

• Experience with layout and template work

• Pipe fitting experience

Compensation & Schedule

• Schedule: Full-time, overtime available

• Pay: Competitive hourly rate

• Per Diem: Available for candidates
