About the Role

Tarpon Specialty Services is hiring an experienced Project Scheduler to support large-scale industrial construction projects in the Ingleside and Corpus Christi, Texas area. This role is critical to the success of refinery, LNG, petrochemical, and heavy industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project

• Create and manage CPM (Critical Path Method) schedules for industrial construction projects

• Coordinate schedule inputs with project managers, engineers, and field supervision

• Track project progress, productivity, and milestones

• Identify schedule risks, delays, and recovery plans

• Perform schedule impact analysis and provide mitigation recommendations

• Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports for leadership and clients

• Support turnaround, maintenance, and capital project scheduling efforts

• Ensure alignment between schedule, manpower planning, and procurement timelines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Scheduler in industrial, oil & gas, refinery, LNG, or petrochemical construction

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 required (Microsoft Project experience a plus)

• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles

• Experience supporting heavy civil, structural steel, piping, mechanical, or EPC projects

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with field teams

• Local to the Coastal Bend region or willing to commute to Ingleside / Corpus Christi, TX

Preferred Experience

• Experience on LNG, refinery, or petrochemical facilities

• Turnaround or shutdown scheduling experience

• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM)

• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and OSHA requirements
